Sandra is an eight-year-old girl who comes from a family of seven children. Her father has passed away, leaving her mother to care for the children. Her mother makes a very merger living by selling her bead work. Sandra’s mother believes in education. She, with the help of Sandra’s grandfather, has managed to keep her children in school. Sandra’s older sister is in college and her mother is unable to pay for both the college fees and all the other children’s school fees. She is in danger of having to stay home so that her sister can continue her education. The local board member was contacted about Sandra, and she helped her mother fill out an application. The MGEF scholarship program accepted Sandra. She is thrilled to be back at school for Term 1 this January 2026.
