Noel is a nine-year-old girl who comes from a family of three children. Her father tries to support his family as a night guard and a part-time motorcycle taxi driver during the day. He believes in an education, but can barely feed the family. It is becoming more and more difficult to pay school fees. Noel is very short-sighted and has regular eye doctor appointments, which also takes a toll on the family’s finances. Noel is a very bright little girl who loves to learn. The local board member was approached about Noel. After meeting with the family and Noel, she strongly believes Noel will make a difference to her family’s situation if given a chance. MGEF awarded Noel a sponsorship, and she started classes in January 2026.
