Neema is an 11-year-old girl who comes from a family of five children. Her family is very poor. Her father has a low-paying seasonal job of sand harvesting and her mother is unemployed. Both of her parents are illiterate. Neema’s older sisters had to drop out of school due to lack of school fees. A teacher assisted Neema to stay in school for 2024 because she is a smart girl. Neema was brought to the attention of a local MGEF board member who brought her to the office to fill out an application. Neema was accepted into the scholarship program in January 2025. She dreams of becoming a teacher. Now her dream can come true.
