Beatrice is an eight-year-old girl who comes from a family of three children. Her mother passed away when Beatrice was just one year old. Her father is too poor to take care of the children, so the children live with their grandmother on their mother’s side. The grandmother had a small business, but she got into an accident which affected her leg. She isn’t able to work as much as before the accident and therefore is unable to pay Beatrice’s school fees. The local board member was contacted about Beatrice, and she met with the grandmother to fill out an application. Beatrice was accepted into the MGEF Scholarship program in January 2026. She is very happy to be back in school.
