Blessing is an 11-year-old girl who comes from a family of three children. Her family is very poor. Her father is a motorbike taxi driver and her mother is a housewife. The family cannot make ends meet, but they try very hard to send the children to school. They know that an education is the way out of poverty. Blessing is a smart girl, but she is getting behind because she is constantly being sent home due to lack of school fees. A local school contacted the MGEF office about this bright little girl. An MGEF staff member went to the school and helped Blessing fill out an application. She was accepted into the Scholarship program in January 2025. Now she will be able to concentrate on her studies and not have to worry about being sent home.
