Sarah is a 15 year old girl, who comes from a family of seven children. Both of her parents believe in education and have tried to send their children to school, but they are both unemployed. Sarah graduated primary school with the help of relatives and neighbors. She did very well and was accepted into a good secondary school. She and her siblings are often sent home from school due to lack of school fees. Sarah fears she will not be able to attend secondary school, because her parents are unable to pay. A Maasai girl of her age, who is not in school, often becomes a victim of early marriage. Sarah was brought to the MGEF-Kajiado office in search of a scholarship. Sarah was accepted into MGEF’s Scholarship Program for Term 1 of 2022. Sarah is now able to concentrate on her studies and work towards her goal of an education.
