Melissa is a 15 year old girl, who comes from a family of four children. Her father threw out her mother and the children leaving them homeless. They settled into the slum in Emakoko town. Life has been very hard for Melissa and her siblings. She is a very bright girl who has big dreams of going to school. She has managed to make through 7th grade (class 7) with the help of well wishers. She was not able to find the funds for Term 1 of 2022. The local MGEF Board member heard of Melissa’s struggles and met with her to help her fill out an application. Melissa was accepted to the MGEF Scholarship Program for Term 1 of 2022. Melissa is very excited to be back in school.
