Janet is a 13 year girl, who has three siblings. Her mother is deceased and her father is an alcoholic. Janet, her two brothers and one sister live with her grandmother. Her grandmother is unemployed with no source of income, and struggles to keep food on the table. Janet was brought to the attention of the local MGEF Board member. Janet was accepted into the MGEF Scholarship program and has just arrived at her new school. She is very excited to be able to continue her education.
