Deborah is a 12 year old girl, who comes from a family of nine children. Both of her parents believe in educating their children, but have not been able to work much since the Pandemic. They have sold all of their livestock to pay for food and school fees. They fear they will not be able to pay for Debora’s school fees because they have spent all they have on their older children. The MGEF local board member heard Deborah’s story and met with her to help her fill out an application for a scholarship. Deborah was accepted and will start Term 1 in July. She will no longer have to worry about school fees.
